Privacy Policy

LoanRound (“LoanRound,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a search and intelligence platform built on public U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) 7(a) and 504 loan data, together with optional lender profiles, borrower-to-lender introductions, and paid subscription tools.

This policy covers personal information we control as a business. It does not change the public nature of the underlying government loan records, which are described in Section 4.

We collect the following categories of information:

Information you provide

• Funding requests, when you submit the Find Lenders form: your name, email, phone, business name and location, industry, funding amount and purpose, and any other details you choose to include.
• Account information, when you sign in: your email address (we use passwordless “magic link” sign-in) and, optionally, your name.
• Lender profile claims, if you claim a lender profile: your work email, role/title, and the profile content you add (logo, contact details, application link, lending preferences, and description).
• Subscriptions, if you purchase Pro: billing details processed by our payment processor (see Section 5). We do not store full card numbers.
• Communications, messages you send us by email or form.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data, pages viewed, searches run, links clicked, and referring pages.
• Device and log data, IP address, browser type, operating system, language, and timestamps.
• Cookies and similar technologies, as described in our Cookie Policy.

Information from public sources

The SBA loan records on LoanRound originate from public government datasets and are not collected from you. See Section 4.

We use information to:

• Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Services;
• Match funding requests to lenders that may fit your business, and follow up about introductions you ask for;
• Authenticate sign-ins, manage accounts, verify lender claims, and process subscriptions;
• Respond to your messages and provide support;
• Analyze usage to improve features and content;
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security issues, and violations of our Terms; and
• Comply with law and enforce our agreements.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with broker networks or data brokers.

LoanRound republishes and organizes loan-level records that the SBA makes publicly available (including under the Freedom of Information Act). These records may include business names, addresses, ZIP codes, approval amounts, lender names, industry (NAICS) codes, and program type. This information is already public; LoanRound does not create it.

If you are a business owner or lender and want a record corrected or a profile removed, email us using the contact details in Section 16. We will review reasonable requests, though we cannot alter the underlying government source data, and some information may remain available from the SBA or other sources.

The loan data is provided for research and discovery only and must not be used for any purpose prohibited by Section 6 or by our Terms of Service or Disclaimers (including any use governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act).

We share personal information only as described here:

• With lenders you choose, your funding-request details are shared with a lender only after you opt in to an introduction with that lender.
• With service providers, vendors that host and run the Services on our behalf under confidentiality obligations, such as our cloud/database provider (Supabase), email delivery providers, payment processing (e.g., Stripe), and analytics. They may process your information only to provide services to us.
• For legal and safety reasons, to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, property, and safety of LoanRound, our users, or the public.
• In a business transfer, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
• Aggregated or de-identified data, which can no longer reasonably identify you and is not subject to this policy.

LoanRound is not a consumer reporting agency, and the Services and data are not a “consumer report” or “investigative consumer report” under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) or any similar state law. You may not use the Services or any data obtained from them, in whole or in part, as a factor in establishing eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing, or any other purpose regulated by the FCRA.

We use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in sessions, preferences, security, and basic analytics. You can control cookies through your browser. For details, see our Cookie Policy.

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for the purposes described here, for example, to maintain your account, fulfill introductions, keep billing and tax records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. Public SBA records are retained as part of the dataset.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:

• Access, request a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
• Correction, ask us to correct inaccurate information;
• Deletion, ask us to delete your information;
• Opt out of marketing, unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time;
• Opt out of sale/sharing, we do not sell or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; and
• Non-discrimination, we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email us using Section 16. We will verify your request and respond as required by applicable law (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the EU/UK GDPR). You may also have the right to appeal or to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common industry standard for how to respond, so LoanRound does not currently respond to these signals. We will honor recognized opt-out preference signals where required by law.

The Services are intended for businesses and adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

LoanRound is operated from the United States, and the data is U.S. government data. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.

The Services may link to third-party websites, including lender application pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; review their policies before sharing information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
